The new LED light technology will keep your head cool. Radiated heat, typical of halogen lights, is a thing of the past. Other advantages of the lights include excellent colour rendition, colour temperature close to daylight and almost negligible operating costs. The latest generation of LED lights is characterised by an extremely long lifetime. In addition, marLED® E lights contain no consumable parts, which contributes to reduced operating and service costs.

With the marLED® light, KLS Martin has taken a step in a new direction in the field of operating theatre lighting, offering an extension of its marLux® series of discharge and halogen lights with the LED line. Is this the new way? LED-based operating lights have been around for a long time. However, marLED® is innovative and uses second generation LED chips: smaller, more compact, more efficient in light output and more energy efficient.

But marLED® will not convince you only by its design and technical solution. The new operating light is based on a radical new optical design concept. Modern design goes hand in hand with ergonomics and technology to create an optimal working atmosphere in every operating theatre.

Two features in particular make marLED® lights stand out among conventional operating theatre lights: firstly, mixing of light right in the LED unit, which effectively prevents the formation of colour shadows, and secondly, incorporation of the VariLUX® technology, a unique technology for adapting the light field to the operating theatre. The illumination shape is freely adjustable between circular and oval. The geometry of the light field can be adjusted according to anatomical needs or the surgical method used.

Smaller LEDs, lighter design. marLED® is significantly lighter than conventional surgical lights. The control ergonomics are much better. The main light and satellite lights can be easily positioned with the sensoGrip handle or controlled via the sensoTouch panel. All functions can be intuitively adjusted on a gimbal-mounted touch screen.
