HideCopper pipes are mainly used for medical gas distribution. Medi-gas distribution systems can include gas shut-off valves, reduction lines, sampling panels, gas pressure signaling, etc. These devices are used to close off a section of the pipeline, reduce pressure in the pipeline, provide emergency connections to the distribution system, or regulate gas pressure.
It is the part of a medical gas, vacuum or industrial gas piping system that connects the power source of the supply system to a terminal unit or other termination element. For the medical field, the piping of the medical gases must be copper piping according to EN 13348, while for the industrial and laboratory field the piping may be stainless steel.
The reducing unit (RS) is used for the reduction of medical and technical gases. It is a two-circuit unit – in case of failure of a component on the currently running circuit, the circuit can be shut down by closing the inlet and outlet valves on the given circuit and opening the other circuit.
The RS30, RS 100, RS 210 series are equipped with a gas-specific terminal unit R14. In the case of RS 30, RS 100 this is the service connection, in the case of RS 210 it is the point for measuring the air purity. The VIT 38 series is made of brass monobloc, thus reducing the number of connections that could potentially cause gas leaks.
Gas shut-offs are used to shut off parts of the piping, enclosed in a lockable cabinet with emergency opening, flush or wall mounted, they contain ball valves, maintenance and backup supply entry point, monitoring pressure gauges and pressure sensors for evaluation (alarm).
They are available in standard version (inlet and outlet at the top) or continuous, for 1 to 4 gases, pipe range of 18, 22, 28, 35 and 42 mm, standard white version (colour version only on special customer request).
This unit must be installed downstream of DeltaP reducing units that are part of a medical gas piping system. The control unit consists of the following parts: Safety valve, High-pressure switch set to 9.6 bar, Low-pressure switch set to 6.4 bar, Pressure gauge 0–16 bar.
Outlet panels are equipped with the R14 terminal unit and possibly a manometer, used for quick connection of medical instruments or as a monitoring point for medical gases (O2, N2O, CO2, AIR) or vacuum.
The Element version can fit up to four quick couplers under a single housing, can be used for both surface mounting and flush mounting.
Emergency entry allows power supply to the piping system in case of emergency or during maintenance of the piping system. This device must be installed in an accessible place so that gas cylinder stands or trolleys can reach it. It consists of: Ball valve ON/OFF, Pressure safety valve (10 bar), Connector (NIST type), Cabinet with lock.
The indicator is designed to monitor the pressure of medical gases by monitoring positive and negative deviations from the nominal value in order to alert with light and acoustic signals to an unsatisfactory condition. It allows monitoring of clinical and operational alarms.
The STP-24 indicator is a compact device that allows monitoring of pressures from up to six pressure sensors. It is available in surface and flush-mounted versions. It is operated via a touch color LCD display.
Reducing valves are designed and manufactured in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 10524-2, and also specially designed for reducing units installed in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 7396-1. The reducing valve is made of a brass monoblock with chemical nickel plating, the valve caps are made of aluminium.
